New look for the FIJET newsletter
The FIJET Newsletter has a new look and interface. The new online book allows you to page through the newsletter just as you might with an actual printed book. For those of you who prefer to old style PDF file, there is a facility for downloading the file for offline reading, just as in the past. In addition, you can go into full screen mode and not have the distractions of the browser window menus and border, print the pages and magnify them for best viewing. We are sure you will like the new format!

Online Book Instructions – The newsletter is now available in the new online book format. Here are some basic instructions on using this new feature.

You can move from page to page using the various arrow keys (explained below) or by placing your mouse on the corner of any page (it will look like the corner is being lifted up) and then clicking with your mouse button. It is just like you pulled the page with your finger and flipped it over.

At the bottom of the page, you will see a black bar that contains navigation features and tools. On the left side (and starting at the far left) are the following tools:

Box – Clicking on this allows you to expand the book to full page. Clicking it a second time takes you back to regular view. If you have a large screen, this view may be large enough to read the pages.

? = Clicking on this bring up a help screen for navigation.

Printer = Clicking on this allows you to print the document

Down Arrow = Clicking on this allows you to download the PDF version of the newsletter for offline viewing. This is the same interface that you have been getting for the newsletter. So, if you don’t like the new format, you can get the old one.

Speaker = Clicking on this allows you to turn the sound of turning pages on and off.

Envelope =Clicking on this allows you to send a link to the publication to someone else via Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo Mail, Gmail or another application of your choice (Select CHOOSE in this case).

Magnifying Glass =Clicking on this allows you to increase the size of the text for easier viewing. Once you go to an expanded view, you will see another bar at the top of the screen which allows you to make the text larger (+ key) or smaller (– key) or to move from page to page (arrow keys). Clicking on the magnifying glass again (at the top of the page) takes you back to the normal view. Once the page is magnified, you can move around by clicking and dragging the page (click with the mouse button and while holding the button move the mouse to show the section you want to read).

On the right side of the page at the bottom, you have a double arrow facing left (takes you immediately to the first page) a single arrow facing left (takes you to the preceding page), a single arrow facing right (takes you to the next page) and a double arrow facing right (takes you to the last page). The bar between the arrows shows you what page you are on and how many total pages there are in the document. You can also turn pages one at a time by simply placing your mouse pointer on the corner of a page and then clicking.

We hope you like the new program!
