Jun 04, 2010The Executive Committee is made up of nine members, elected by the Board of Directors. The term of office for each member is four years. The Secratary General is appointed by the Executive Committee and does not vote.
Tijani Haddad - President

Mr Haddad is a member of the Chamber of Deputies and Chairman of the Parliamentary Ad-Hoc Constitutional Review Committee in the Tunisia Government. He continues to oversee the operations of his various businesses while holding elected office. He is the Publication Manager and Editor of Tunisia News, the only English newspaper in Tunisia, a weekly newspaper published every Saturday.

Miguel Angel Garcia Brera - Vice President
Madrid - Spain
Mr. Garcia Brera is professor of the graduate course on Hotel Management at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a former professor at Complutense University. He holds degrees in Philosophy from the Directorate of Tourism; Bachelor of Law; Economics and Political Science; Journalism; and Psychology. He is also president of the Association of Spanish Tourism Law.

Jacques Campe - Secretary General
Fontaines St Martin - France
During his many years of international management, visiting 177 countries worldwide, Mr Campe was already practicing travel journalism, photographing and lecturing as a hobby. This avocation has become his permanent activity over the past several years. Currently, he is Treasurer of AFJET (FIJET-France). He is fluent in major languages (including the official languages of FIJET: English, French and Spanish) but, as he says, "only speaks one at a time."

Bernadette Bonnetain-Roux - Treasurer
Ecully - France
Ms Roux has worked for many years as a journalist for several French daily newspapers and continues her work in travel writing and photography. As a long-time member of AFJET (FIJET-France) she has served as vice president and treasurer and currently acts as editor-in-chief of their highly praised monthly newsletter. Her charitable and volunteer works include service as a member of the the Hospitality of Our Lady of Lourdes.

Drago Bluc - Deputy Treasurer
Karlov - Slovenija
Mr. Bulc is a full-time, professional broadcast journalist for Slovenia Radio and Television and a correspondent for several travel and tourism newspapers and magazines in Slovenia and Italy. Throughout his career he has specialized in the travel and tourism industries and has received several national and international awards for writing. Currently, he is editor of several tourism programs aired on Slovenian National Television.

Jim Thompson - Director of FIJET Congress
Los Angeles, California - U.S.A.
Jim Thompson has been a full-time, professional broadcast and print journalist for more than 30 years. His experience includes work as a White House correspondent for Mutual Broadcasting and correspondent for CBS news, NBC news, Associated Press, United Press International, Reuters, and CNN. He is currently Managing Editor for Western News Service and Radio Central News focusing on travel writing.

Tina Cubrilo is the president of the Association of Tourism Journalists of Croatia and member of the Central Committee of Croatian Journalists. For 20 years she worked for Croatian national Radio I covering the government and Parliament issues. For the past 18 years, she has served as journalist and editor of the weekly radio programs, Tourism Plus and Journeys.

Eytan Shabi - Member
Ramat Gan - Israel
Eytan Shabi has been the president of tourism journalists for the journalists association of Tel Aviv for the past 10 years. Educated in London, he helped to establish Israeli television in 1968 and served as deputy manger of the news section. Later he was managing editor of weekly news on Israeli radio and the Tel Aviv newspaper.
