52nd FIJET World Congress - October 3-10 2010
The 52nd FIJET World Congress will be held in the exciting country of Turkey with highlighted stays in Istanbu and the resort area of Bodrum. Named the "European Capital of Culture" for 2010, Istanbul will mark the year with a series of activities and events throughout the year. It is truly fitting that the FIJET World Congress take place in this remarkable country during this same year.
Important Details
In order to attend the 52nd FIJET World Congress, you MUST fill out a registration form on the FIJET website. No other form of registration will be accepted – no exceptions. Do not send lists, names or details to the Secretary General or anyone else since only the member can register himself/herself for the Congress.
The final deadline for registrations is June 15, 2010. No registrations will be accepted after that date.
Registration is easy! To access the registration form, go to the FIJET website and select "Congress" then click on "Congress Registration Form" from the menu along the left side (it is the last item).
If you are registering for the Congress, we ask that you please inform your National President so that he/she can create a list of people who will be attending. Individual Members should inform Nikolai Meinert (Individual Members Representative) at: meinertn@hotmail.com that they wish to attend.
Please remember that registering for the Congress does not guarantee that you will be allowed to attend. We will make all efforts to accommodate every request, but, attendance will be based on the number of people attending from your Association or country, the number of spaces available and verification that you published at least one article following the last Congress you attended.
Hopefully, we can find space for everyone who wants to attend the 52st FIJET World Congress in Turkey. But, rest assured that we are doing all we can to provide space for everyone.
Turkish Airlines Discount
Turkish Airlines is offering a discount of 15% off the economy fare and 25% off the Business Class fare from the airport they serve. According to Ertan, "The Turkısh Aırlıne head offıce has ınstructed all ınternatıonal cıty offıces that 15% Dıscount for Economy Tıckets, and 25% for Busıness Class Tıckets would be provıded for all the flıghts to İstanbul from the cıty that the partıcıpants wıll start from theır cıtıes to Bodrum vıa İstanbul.
"When members buy theır tıckets, they should fırst apply to the T.H.Y (Turkısh Aırlıne) offıce ın theır own cıty and show theır FIJET Cards and tell them that they are goıng to FIJET Congress to be held ın İstanbul and Bodrum on October 3-10, 2010, ın order to get the 15% dıscount for Economy and 25% dıscount for Busıness Class, under a specıfıc CODE. All of T.H.Y offıces have been informed of thıs procedure.
"If some of the members are partıcıpatıng in the Post Congress Tours, they should reguest theır return flıght to where they come from. They would get the return flıght on October 13-14 2010, ınstead of October 10, 2010."
You will be required to pay for the flight from Istanbul to Bodrum and back to Istanbul.
